STURBRIDGE
The Village Furniture & Clock sales marathon signs often posted facing Main Street proclaim in bold letters “Outlet CLOSING,” “THIS IS IT — TOTAL LIQUIDATION” and “EVERYTHING MUST GO!!”
Passing motorists noticing the signs in front of the Sturbridge Marketplace structure in recent months might well have expected great bargains from a retailer going out of business and selling off its residual inventory at deep discounts.
There's just one problem: The owner of the store, Carlton “Warren” Marshall of Oxford, has claimed to be successful out of business at different times for at least two years.
